As a fully outdoor setting we cannot stress enough how important it is to your child’s experience and wellbeing that they are warm and dry.
High quality kit is essential. Good layering and lots of spare clothes are also required.
This is our recommended list of what your child needs to enjoy playing, whatever the weather!…
Thermal base layers
Long sleeved top and leggings (plus 1 spare set)
Fully waterproof and fleece-lined or padded outwear (jacket plus dungarees/trousers)
Wellies (thermal or lined)
Warm knee length welly socks (plus 1 spare pair)
Warm hat (to fit underneath waterproof hood)
Scarf, snood or buff
Waterproof mitts or gloves
At least 1 spare set of clothes
Packed lunch and snacks (we recommend soup or a warm lunch in a food flask)
Drinks bottle with water
