Scotlands Finest Woods Award

We’re delighted to announce that we have won a Scotland's Finest Woods Award! These awards are about celebrating the contribution woodlands make to the people, environment and economic prosperity of Scotland. 🌳

Scotland’s Finest Woods and the Outdoor & Woodland Learning Scotland (OWLS) team up to run the annual Schools and Early Years Awards in Scotland.  The Awards are to encourage and reward schools and pre-schools that increase young people’s understanding and appreciation of the environmental, social and economic potential of trees, woodlands and forests and of the link between trees and everyday wood-based products.

Scotland's Finest Woods Awards said that "Haddo Woodland Kindergarten in Aberdeenshire won the Alba Trees Ltd Early Years’ Trophy for its innovative child-led woodwork project, inspired by the impact of Storm Arwen. The initiative has helped children build practical skills, resilience and a deeper connection with the natural world".
